Thanks to the multiple lockdowns, we’ve seen some great K-dramas this year. One of them being tvN’s ‘Start-Up’, which follows four main characters – sisters Seo Dal-Mi and Won In-Jae, and tech business founder Nam Do-San and venture capitalist Han Ji Pyeong – as they take on the challenges of launching their own companies in a programme called Sandbox. Think of it as Seoul’s version of Silicon Valley or even Google (the company). Of course there’s a love triangle involved, but that part is a bit complex to get into here, so we recommend you just watch the show.

Its main character, Seo Dal-Mi played by Bae Suzy is the lead you’ll love. She’s determined, earnest, hardworking, relatable and of course, really beautiful in that girl-next-door kinda way.

Suzy debuted onto the entertainment scene as a member of K-pop girl group, Miss A in 2010, and since then has dabbled in acting. She has starred in many notable shows, including ‘While You Were Sleeping’ in 2017 and ‘Vagabond’ in 2019.

Currently, the 26-year-old is the global beauty ambassador for Lancôme and in fact, has been with the brand since 2017 as its Korean brand ambassador. This explains why we see a lot of Lancôme moments on the show, from the foundation she uses to the lipstick she occasionally applies.

In this scene, after defending her sister from an attack that was about to happen, Dal-Mi goes to the toilet, pulls out a lipstick from the pocket of her jeans and reapplies it while telling her sister that what she did wasn’t really that big of a deal. Here, she wear’s this creamy rose nude shade seen below.

While on the way to secure a big project for her company Samsan Tech, she touches up her lip colour in the car to boost her confidence. This shade she wears is this vibrant strawberry hue.

‘Start-Up’ is currently ongoing and airs every Saturday and Sunday at 10pm on Netflix.
