Professional makeup artist and brand founder Natasha Moor gives us the lowdown on her beauty tricks and all-time personal favourites.
It has been said that if you do something you love, you’ll never work a day in your life. This rings true for makeup-artist-turned-cosmetics-brand-owner, Natasha Moor, whose products are currently sold in Sephora SEA. After having found her calling providing makeup services for brides, Natasha’s career path naturally progressed into the formation of her own makeup line. Natasha Moor cosmetics consist of lipsticks, concealers, contour sticks and a kohl eyeliner. Read on for some of her very own beauty tricks and get inspired!
On what moves her
“For me, inspiration truly comes from my travels and daily encounter with people. My motto has always been ‘Less is Moor’ as I don’t believe in caking up looks to the extent that you’re unrecognisable. As a makeup artist, I feel that it’s important to use makeup to enhance instead of masking your features.”
Beauty secrets, revealed
“My all-time favourite trick to nailing the smoky eye look: add bronzer on the creases to create a flawless eyeshadow transition. This won’t leave you with harsh lines nor sharp edges. Remember, blending is key.
The No Bag Vibes Corrector and Secret Perfector make up my secret to flawlessness – sometimes no foundation is even required! For my under-eyes and red skin patches, I’d swipe on my Liquid Magic Concealer. My team and I have worked so hard to make sure this concealer stays on long and light. After using a damp sponge to blend it onto my skin, I add loose powder, blush, brow products and finish off with a Molten Matte Liquid Lipstick. My Take Control Contour Stick lives on my nose, cheekbones and jawline. I love seeing women look and feel confident when they put on my makeup products – I used to only dream about this!”
On products that Natasha loves
Avya Skincare takes really good care of my sensitive skin. I’d reach out for its Cleansing Face Wash and Under Eye Cream every morning before toning with my SK-II Facial Treatment Essence. La Mer’s The Revitalizing Hydrating Serum keeps my skin nicely moisturised. I love The Intensive Revitalising Mask too when I’m on a plane. When my skin is not at its best, I’ll turn to one of my favourite masks, Aesop’s Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish Mask. I swear by this clay-based mask! Once I’m done with the basics, I’d swipe my favourite concealer under my eyes and around the red patches on my skin.
